Introducing our Hand-forged Japanese San Mai Santoku.
The Handle
What really makes this knife special is the handle. Made right here in-house by us, it’s crafted from recycled fish boxes (waste plastic) collected through our Scottish Harbour collection program. The boxes are collected, washed, shredded, and moulded. Each handle has a unique marbling effect, making your knife a one off.
The handle is available in Navy Blue | Red | Orange | Yellow & Purple
The Blade
We’ve teamed up with skilled blacksmiths in Seiki, Japan, to handcraft each blade to our exacting specifications. Made from Aogami Blue carbon steel, The San Mai blade boasts three layers for strength and sharpness. With a Rockwell rating of HRC 65 and a distinctive Kurouchi finish, this blade carries the marks of its fiery creation. Kurouchi, meaning "first black," gives the blade a rustic charm as it retains the blackened residue from the forging process—a true testament to craftsmanship
