Introducing our Hand-forged Japanese Santoku. The Santoku, which means “three virtues,” is the perfect all-rounder, equally at home slicing through meat, fish, and vegetables.
The Handle
What really makes this knife special is the handle. Made right here in-house by us, it’s crafted from recycled fish boxes (waste plastic) collected through our Scottish Harbour collection program. . The boxes are collected, washed, shredded and moulded. Each handle has a unique marbling effect, making your knife a one off.
The Blade
We’ve teamed up with skilled blacksmiths in Seiki, Japan, to handcraft each blade to our exacting specifications. Made from Aogami Blue #2 steel, it boasts three layers for strength and sharpness. With a Rockwell rating of HRC 65 and a distinctive Kurouchi finish, this blade carries the marks of its fiery creation. Kurouchi, meaning "first black," gives the blade a rustic charm, as it retains the blackened residue from the forging process—a true testament to craftsmanship
